Mums & Bubs Classes specialise in postnatal fitness offering fun and social outdoor group classes to help mums regain and enhance their pre-pregnancy fitness to meet the physical demands of parenthood.
This innovative class was formed over 5 years ago as there was a real need for an innovative fitness program specifically designed for new mums that offers a flexible, fun and social exercise session. Another important reason was to educate mums on the amazing benefits, mentally and physically, of exercising in the fresh air with your baby close by!
Mums & Bubs Classes combines all the elements that a new mum and mum-to-be needs in a fitness program to target specific areas affected by pregnancy.
Mama Moves offers a specific and unique type of class for this specialised group.
- Boxercise workout: A circuit format combining Cardio, Boxing, and Total Body Conditioning exercises which Increases Fitness and Weight loss, Stretch & Strengthens your body, Firms your tummy and creates Long, Lean, Toned muscles.
Sessions:
The boxercise classes run for one hour and your baby or toddler will be close to you the whole time either in the pram, on a mat or playing with the other children. If your baby does become unsettled I am very relaxed about you stopping and comforting him/her.
Current Schedule:
Centennial Park takes advantage of the lush green grounds, so the focus is more on jogging or running (circuit style) combined with boxing and core conditioning.
Bondi Beach classes utilize the soft sand, which definitely takes the workout to new heights! Soft sand benefits are endless. It’s fantastic to burn fat and shape the legs, calves and butt! You can’t complain about that!

Mama Moves works on 4 x 10 week terms per year and is designed for you to take your classes over the 10 week time frame. You must however sign up for either 1, 2 or 3 classes per week. Although it is understandable that on the odd occasion you may not be able to attend your scheduled class, so you have the option of doing 2 makeup classes on any other day during the membership, as long as you complete all classes within the time frame specified. No class is forfeited!!!
2010 Dates:
- Term 3: July 19th to September 25th, 2010
- Term 4: October 11th to December 18th, 2010
NB: You can join Mama Moves anytime throughout the year and pay the balance of the term.
Casual classes will be held through the holidays for the 'enthusiasts' to maintain your exercise regime!
