ABOUT MAMA MOVES:

The early stages of mother-hood are the most Amazing, Rewarding and often most Tiring stage of your Life.

Mama Moves has been created specifically for You and Your Baby as an alternative for busy new mums who want to Get Fit, but don’t necessarily want to pay for Expensive Gym Memberships, nor have the time for a lengthy fitness regime.

Mama Moves is for mums to meet other like-minded mums who want to enjoy the Great Outdoors with their bubs, rather than putting them in a crèche.

We have a Healthy and Supportive approach to early motherhood fitness and Mama Moves will help you to Take Control and achieve your Weight Loss Goals, Increase your Level of Fitness and Vitality.

Mama Moves offers a Fun and Social exercise session as well as educate you on the amazing benefits, Mentally and Physically, of exercising in the Fresh Air with your baby close by!

All classes combine the elements that a new mum needs in a fitness program to target specific areas affected by pregnancy. No client is too Unfit, Overweight or Out of Shape to take part. Similarly, nobody is too Fit to take part. Although everyone is encouraged to work up a Good Sweat, classes are still Casual, Relaxed and Fun, even Mamas-2-Be are Welcome!

All classes are delivered with a Caring and Friendly approach by VIX and combine Cardio, Boxing, Body Conditioning and Pilates for a Thorough and Balanced Workout.

Mama Moves guarantees Weight loss, Stronger Pelvic Floor, Flatter Abdominals, Increased Tone and Flexibility, and most of all, a greater sense of Wellbeing, Self- Esteem and Stress Relief.

CLASS OUTLINE:

All classes are one hour in duration held at local parks. They combine the best elements to meet the needs of a Pre/Post Natal Mum.

Cardio: Increases Fitness and Energy Levels while Burning Body Fat and Increasing Your Metabolism

(eg) Power Walking, Jogging, Short Sprints

Boxercise: Strengthens and Tones your Upper Body whilst Improving your Co-Ordination and Core Strength

Pilates: Firms your Abdominals and helps Stretch and Strengthen the Entire Body from Head to Toe. It will create Long, Lean Muscles and develop Core Stability.

The result of Mama Moves is a mind and body fitness program that not only helps you create your best body ever, but also helps you feel mentally and emotionally balanced, calm and refreshed!

SUGGESTED WEEKLY PLAN:

It is entirely up to you as to how many classes you do per week. You can choose any of the classes from the current Timetable and supplement them with a Mama Moves ‘At Home’ Program to achieve optimum results.

Mama Moves works with 'school terms' (4 per year) and is designed for you to take your classes over 10 consecutive weeks. However, it is understandable that on the odd occasion you may not be able to attend.

If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, you have the option of doing a makeup class on any other day during the term as long as you complete all classes within the 10 week term.

 

2008 TERM 1: 29th january to 5th april '08

2008 TERM 2: 28th april to 5th july '08

2008 TERM 3: 21st july to 27th september '08

2008 TERM 4:  13th october to 20th december '08

You may join Mama Moves at any time through the term and pay for the balance of the weeks remaining.



HOLIDAY CLASSES:

Casual classes will be held through the holidays for the 'enthusiasts'  to maintain your exercise regime!



SUGGESTED WEEKLY WORKOUT:

*Mama Moves Class: 2-3 times per week

*At Home Program: 2 times per week

*Power walk/Jog: 2 times per week

Remember to lose those extra kilos, regular exercise at least 3 times a week is your key to success..physically and mentally!

 

RAINY DAYS:

On rainy days classes will be at Parc Fitness (no toddlers allowed for safety reasons). It will be up to you to do a makeup class on any other day during the term if you do not attend your scheduled class.



WHAT TO BRING:

*Wear comfortable clothing

*Exercise mat or towel for floor work

*Water

*Hat for mum and bub

*Sunblock

*Pacifier and toys for bub

*If your bub is sitting up, something comfy for bub to sit on.

Mama Moves will provide equipment required for the classes if you do not have your own, although it is recommended that cotton inners are to be worn inside boxing gloves for hygiene purposes or wrist guards for safety and protection. These can be purchased direct from VIX. You can also purchase discounted boxing gear and exercise mats from VIX.

PAYMENT:

Payment for classes are to be paid via bank deposit or cash.

Classes are non-refundable.

At Mama Moves you will work as hard as you want and will have a bit of a laugh too. The emphasis is on getting fit, meeting other mums and having FUN!
